Howdy guys and gals!:)

For sale are my (near mint) Celestion Ditton 15XRs, which have been re-capped with rather expensive, but superb sounding, Jantzen Silver Z-Caps, shown here: https://www.hificollective.co.uk/components/jantzen-silver-zcap.html and also fitted with Cardas solid-copper binding posts, as shown in the pics below.

There are a couple of minor scuffs to the edges and corners, as shown in the pics below, and the grille fabric has some minor 'pilling' from cat claws, which isn't obvious from the pics, but can be seen up close in the flesh.

Other than that they are mint, and with the recap, etc, are sounding stunning - arguably better than any others I've heard of the same type. So, some pics:

I have substantial boxes and packaging for them, so shipping to anywhere in the UK or Europe wouldn't be an issue, but of course collection in person, by anyone living locally around Wrexham, North Wales [due to current lockdown rules], would also be welcome.

The going rate for these on ebay, in this sort of condition, in stock form, is anything from £150-200. However, I'm pricing these to sell, so even with the substantial costs I've incurred from upgrading the caps and binding posts, which aren't much short of the value of the speakers themselves, I'm asking for:

£160.00 *delivered* to anywhere in mainland UK. Shipping costs to Europe will be extra.

Interested parties either PM me or post here. Cheers!

Cheers, guys. Anything I use you can take as read has been very carefully selected in the first place, and well looked after since:)

These also sound superb and, sonically, can compete with anything I've heard of its ilk, modern or vintage, up to the £1k mark. I've also swallowed the costs of the mods, just to give some lucky person on AoS a veritable bargain!

Aren't these from your telly room? What are you replacing them with?

They were originally, Piggurs, but I'd replaced them with a pair of original (older) 15s, from the 60s:)

The binding posts alone cost a ton.

Marco.I was going to suggest that, weren't we discussing the tweeters on those old ones a few weeks ago?

I used to have a minty pair of 15XRs, inherited from my mum. I eventually sold them for £30, like a right tit. :(
