Acrylic top plate for amp

My Aleph is on its way to me, as is a pair of new racks as I can’t possibly fit it in my existing rack.

As there will be plenty of air above the amp, and as the inside of the amplifier is so beautifully laid out, I was thinking about changing the top plate for an acrylic sheet, but with vents cut into it obviously.

Can anyone recommend someone who can make such a thing?

The internals warrant a bit of showing off in my opinion...

If you want it perfect get it laser cut, probably a few companies in your area.

Benefit is as the laser cuts it finishes the edges perfectly, no frosting.

Woodworkers could probably router it.

Waterjet cutting would work too.

Cheers, will do. I found a company who do one off cuts to spec, plus their acrylic sheet comes in a variety of tints. I'm thinking bronze tint would look cool. :D

Cheers Josie. Once the amp arrives I'll do some measurements and draw up some plans. I haven't drawn any plans since I was designing for my new business - that's fun in itself (if one is a geek like me). :D

Unless you put a light in if the tints too dark you won’t see in anyway :ner:
