Rogers LS3/6 owner

Thank you for letting me join the Forum which I discovered via a Google search for the iconic Rogers LS3/6 monitor. My interest stems from the fact that I am the proud owner of said speakers. They are the original BBC monitors, albeit with the additional super tweeters and replacement Swisstone/Rogers bass units. They are currently undergoing an annual MoT to replace a couple of capacitors and carry out a full sound check but these speakers still have the capacity to shine even after almost 40 years. I am running these with a Marantz home cinema amp and dedicated Marantz stereo amp, along with Quad Lite rears and sub. My musical taste is mainly classical, particularly Mahler, but also 70s and 80s pop in my lighter moments!

The Rogers LS3/6 are lovely speakers, and have an interesting history in their development with the BBC: https://www.markhennessy.co.uk/rogers/others.htm I can remember listening to some Rogers " BBC Studio Monitor" speakers (as a more compact replacement for the Quad 57s), which may or may not be a domestic version of the LS3/6.

Thanks very much! To my ears they still take some beating. I've also managed to track down a Rogers C33 centre plus a pair of LS1s as rears so, with the exception of a REL sub I now have a Rogers surround system :-)
