Hi all.
I have a patch bay made by Dyer Audio Systems. I was wondering if anyone has heard of them and if they're still around in any form?
I have found a website URL but it's doesn't exist. They were based in Hoddesdon, Herts.
They made some great active speakers called the 'Harefield'. I found them on the TNT site but I can't seem to find any other info or an active email contact.
Thanks
What's a patch bay, Jo?

they are for routing cables on systems that have multiple options. like amp3, speakers 4 and cd player 1.

Patch bays are primarily studio devices, for connecting multiple balanced audio devices together...

One system I dealt with had hundreds of connections along with a fully digital, fully automated mixing desk and active crossovers - and no instructions or bible (booklet created by the original installer for engineers to utilise later should adjustments need doing). Was a feckin' nightmare to unravel!
Ah I see... First I've heard of them, as I've never had cause to use them before. I wonder why Jo would need something like that for a simple home hi-fi system?:hmm:

It certainly wouldn’t be a normal requirement.
Josie, judging from archive.org for http://www.digitalaudiosystems.co.uk/ (the renamed entity for Dyer Audio) an email contact was das@wavelength-distribution.com. http://www.wavelength-distribution.com/ still exists. Perhaps contact them and see if they can help?

Ah...cool thanks, Edward.
I got a patch bay to route my R2R through and then back out to the PPM. It's only a small one, not a large one like shown above.
I was just curious in knowing who they were.
Here is the old 'about' for DAS.

Seems that Bill Dyer had decades of experience behind him up to 2007 and I guess he is either retired or .....
