I have an RPi4 running RopieeeXL as a Roon end point.
I want to run it wirelessly but every time I go to the configuration page, I get a message telling me there's an update downloading and not to turn it off - this message has been on all day!
It won't allow me to make any changes to allow wireless set up - can anyone help?

Switch off and start again, worst case scenario you'll need to rewrite ropiee XL to the card

I already did thanks, a few times but when it reboots it just comes up with same ‘downloading update’ message

Now sorted with a fresh install of RopieeeXL

Russell, may I ask how you find wifi with the RPi?
I also use RopieeeXL but on a RPi3. Works flawlessly but only with a direct connection (Ethernet). However when I try wifi it is very laggy and often Roon more often than not just gives up and reports connectivity issues.
I've not investigated adding an aerial to the RPi. Maybe that will help.
cheers

Being honest I haven’t chance to try it out properly so couldn’t say with 100% certainty it’s performing flawlessly but for the short amount of time I had it on yesterday it worked without stalling or dropping out.
I have BT broadband with discs on each floor of the house providing coverage but saying that I did have issues from time to time with CCA which is one of the reasons I wanted to try the Pi in my listening room which needs to be wireless.
Cheers Russell for the feedback. Sounds like your wifi reception is better or perhaps the wifi module on the RPi 4 is better. Or both.

Just an update, had about 5 hours with the Pi on WiFi the other day and was fine.
Only slight issue I had once was steaming an MQA file which once my DAC switched to 44/16 then straight back to MQA
