Hi i am new to the Forum , although have had a look see before. My system is not hi end but it does include some relatively rareish bits and a bit of time has been spent chosing on a limited budget.
I have an SO The Source turntable with a rewired RB250 ( my tt could benefit from a better arm) and a wood bodied MM cartridge based on an AT donor body, AT shiabata stylus. The cartridge i think is based on a Clearaudio Virtouso. The SO Source tt is not that common it was purchased in the early 90s and i demoed it againt a Linn Sondek and a Pink and this one won.
My digital sources are a Beresford Caimen Seg Dac, A Raspberry Pi4b and Cambridge CXC transport. I also have a Cambridge Stream Magic v1 but dont use that since i got the Pi. A friend has currently lent me a couple of expensivish ( for me) USB cables to try Luna Grist and Lagboda
I have a Croft Micro 25 Pre with a Glenn Croft upgraded phono stage and Croft Series 7 power amp again power has been upgraded by Glenn to 100WPC.
My speakers are relatively old and quite rare. You dont see them on Ebay often PMC LB1 signatures ( not the basic LB1, apparently only 200 pairs made when PMC used Dynaudio bass/mid driver). Not very pretty but a decent sound and quite power hungry hence the Croft power upgrade.
Cabling is pretty basic mainly Mark Grant with VDH CS122 speaker cable and the above loan stuff.
Musical tastes are pretty broad loads of Tangerine Dream ( electronic type stuff), also rock including prog, some jazz and classical to.
