Living in Switzerland the past 10 years and like all of you spending way too much time in the house these days brings me back to hifi. In to tons of different music and genres. Big fans of a lot of 70s stuff - Neil Young, Doors, Dylan, Jefferson Airplane, Marvin Gaye as well as plenty of late 50s bebop / hard bop jazz.

More recent Nick Cave than the early stuff as well as Sufjan Stevens, Caribou... Funky electro such as Motor City Drum Ensemble and Todd Terje as well as going back to earlier Detroit House.

Listen to some more popular classical mainly mornings when working before 2nd coffee (love recent releases by Igor Levitt and Arcadi Volodos)

Not got any real equipment to speak of - been all headphones, Spotify and USB DACs for too long now so looking around to get going with some “proper gear”

— life’s too short not to

Hello David. Welcome to AOS.

If you want advice setting up a new system, I'd suggest starting a thread in our Blank Canvas section outlining your ideas, describing what functions you need and a budget. That should get you some suggestions.

Enjoy the forum,
Geoff.
