My mainly Linn system....

Finally got something that works well together. Linn AV5103 on preamp duty, recently recapped and sounds good. Two LK100 power amps active and driving Keilidhs. Audiolab 6000 CD transport on the bottom (superb value these) but it’s not getting much use as I’ve just got into streaming via an old Linn Majik DSM. The headphone amp is a Creek OBH-21SE with upgraded power supply. I use Grado 325 phones and it sounds fab.

i like your rack, so how does it sound?
i have only ever heard a linn classic many moons ago.
i found the sound very clear and balanced.

Cheers. I’m not very good at describing the sound. This set up is pretty old, mostly. The Audiolab CDT is the only current item, with the amps around 20 + years old. The streamer is now 10 years old. I think I’d best describe it as clean and unbiased, decent bass where you need it. Not fatiguing at all, and the step up from running passive to active was the most worthwhile upgrade.

[emoji106]if you google Z hifi unit you’ll see a few retailers. I had to wait 3 months for that one due to production issues during lockdown, but pretty pleased with it.
