Some people believe our lives are profoundly influenced by whatever pop song was number one on the day we were born.

Here are some examples of songs that were No.1 on the day they were born using ‘Birthday No.1’ on www.thisdayinmusic.com

On the day Heather Mills was born Hello Goodbye by The Beatles was at No.1 in the UK.

Amy Winehouse – Red Red Wine by UB40
Pete Doherty – Tragedy by The Bee Gees
Kate Moss - You Won't Find Another Fool Like Me - New Seekers
Carla Bruni - Let The Heartaches Begin - Long John Baldry
Paris Hilton – Shaddap You Face - Joe Dolce
Courtney Love I Can't Get No Satisfaction Rolling Stones
Amir Khan - The Final Countdown - Europe

Diana, Princess of Wales - Runaway by Del Shannon

Mine was some unknown song by some unknown group on the day I was born (although conversely, Marco has a copy :)), but certainly certain songs have influenced me - mainly in a music writing capacity, but also in a direction decision capacity.

I think mine was Great balls of fire, but it doesn't bother me as a rule.

The UK chart doesn't bear thinking about, but I was very pleased to see that in the US chart it was one of my all-time favourite soul tunes... Killing Me Softly by Roberta Flack. I'll have to dig out my copy when I get home!

Mudbug,

In a couple of ways your picture is rather flattering. Though I think you may want to go back to your doctor and 'have a word' about your last face-lift! :eyebrows:

Accordig to this site, nothing particular happened on my birthday...

I think I must wait for the day I die, at least I'm sure there will be something happening of an interest for me. :smoking:
