A socially distanced greeting from The Midlands. I've browsed this forum and picked up some great advice from posters over a number of years. Trust we're all keeping safe and well and using our time wisely (listening to music, doubling up on interconnects, cleaning fuses, toeing in those speakers just a LITTLE bit more...........).
I'm not capable of adding to the knowledge base but you can count on me for a few daft, well meaning questions.

Thanks, Ali. I've just picked up my new pre-amp after three months of radio silence, so I'l be glued to the sofa listening to music for as long as the neighbours can bear.

Thanks Macca. Looks like we have a similar taste in DVD players if nothing else, though I've put the question out there about the value of upgrading to a Pioneer LX800 on the basis that I have a two channel system and do no more than press Play so extras and features aren't an issue.Improved sound and picture quality however most definitely are.

Hi Both,

I was being slightly flippant, having browsed the forum over a couple of years and seeing the suggestions/theories on finding the Holy Land of sound perfection. It drives me crazy sometimes wondering if my equipment couldn't sound just a bit better with a no or low cost tweak or two.
My latest experiment is placing each piece of kit as far away as possible from all the others, in the hope of miniising any electrical interference between boxes.
It's possible I'm wasting my life......
