Silver Sun - James Broad RIP

Among all the difficult news over the past few days it was reported that James Broad has died of cancer.

Silver Sun were one of those bands who you feel should have made it much bigger, leaving a trail of brilliant Powerpop.

He was far too young for this. RIP.

Yes, could have been a huge band.

I played the first two albums the other night when I heard the news about James. Both are still, fun and exciting. Silver Sun was a tremendous debut album.

Maybe James Broad and Adam Schlesinger are now somewhere in the ether jamming together and making the best power pop ever...
