Wanted / Recommendations: Small Bookshelf Speakers

Hi

Looking for a pair of small bookshelf speakers, ideally around 12 to 14 (max) inches in height, in a medium wood finish with black grilles.

They will be used in a small room (3x5m) so need to have good clean bass with an open detailed sound.

Will be used with a computer & NAS based audio / DAC and a Naim Nait 5i system

Max budget is £200, happy to consider used but must be in good condition.

I would say have a look at the Q Acoustics 30xx series, great vfm speakers. Their Concept 20s are good aswell but only available in gloss black or white.

Checkout the Eltax monitor iii’s. They’re well thought of and you might find a bargain second hand, there’s even a Bluetooth model

I use a pair of Dali Spektor 1s - very petite, just 9 inches tall. This is in my study which is only just over 2m x 3m. I've been very pleased with these, and I like the Dali sound. Perhaps Spektor 2s might suit your slightly larger room - still within your budget, I would think.

I used to have a pair of Eltax III speakers for AV duties and can recommend them. They are available for ~ £150 on-line.

Yep, saw them looked nice in calvados (bit lighter than walnut) with black grills. Forgot to mention bi- wiring or bi- amping possible, 89dbl I believe.
