View Full Version : CREEK p43 Pre-amplifier

This is an excellent pre in beautiful unmarked condition purchased some years ago from a senior member of this very Forum. It’s been sitting unused in a cupboard for too long and is in need of a caring home.

The p43 was a passive pre in standard form, however, this one is active having the plug-in active gain line module which also enables the headphone socket, though it can be returned to passive mode by removing the active plug-in and replacing with the jumper plug supplied.

In addition it has the optional MM phono module which is a very competent phono stage. Please note there is no remote facility with this one.

Have been running it the last few days with Crimson Monoblocs - also listed here - they really work very well together.

Generally it is expected to get better performance if a switched mode supply is replaced by a linear power supply.
Of course the level of performance gain is very dependent on the quality of the design of the equipment being supplied and the performance of the supporting kit.

Every system varies as does one own hearing.
The power supply is very suitable as is, no cause for alarm.
