Looks nice :)

Not sure if you are aware but the link in your signature does not work, has a "," on the end of it.

Dave Hi, how are you,well I hope?
Yes as well as Spiral Groove we have also been appointed UK distributors for Lansche loudspeakers, http://www.ib-lansche.de/haupt39179eng.html
Re prices the hiface is £100 and the EVO £250 both including vat and 'special delivery'

Marco Hi, Lansche were using a pair of their Cubus speakers this year at Munich, they were absolutely superb.

Hi Keith, have you been able to have a listen to one of these yet?
Also, do you know how important the quality of the USB cable will be to getting the best out of it?

Thanks. :)

Dave Hi, I have only received one unit so far, managed a quick listen before sending it for review and I thought it an improvement on the hiface, but it was just a quick listen with a 9volt alkaline battery , we are having a rechargeable lithium battery pack made, and Marco may be making a linear supply for it himself.
Full production is expected late August.

Ok, thanks for the update.
I've been thinking about getting a new soundcard and I wanted one that had coax, optical and AES/EBU output for maximum flexibility. The only one I found (THIS ONE (http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=390148518930)) costs nearly double the price of the EVO. What with the Evo costing less and having I2S output I'm very interesting to hear how it performs. :)

Dave Hi, that looks an interesting card A/D and D/A, !

Yeah, it's certainly not lacking in features and isn't a bad price if you need all that but I only need the digital out capabilities, so it's a bit overkill for my needs.

Keith, will the EVO be available in BLACK or is it only aimed at MAC users and lifestyle buyers?

Mac users and lifestyle buyers I'm afraid! Chris I really do not know, I can ask, very best Keith.

Hi Keith,

Is the EVO still going to cost £250 as I noticed in another thread you said it was £650. I'm really hoping £650 was a typo. :eek:

Cheers. :)

Dave Hi, I should have one soon,h ere are some specs of the 'Young' DAC.

- resolution: up to 32 bits (USB), up to 24 bits (other inputs);
- inputs: USB (B-type female), S/PDIF (RCA and 75 Ohms BNC), AES/EBU (XLR), Toslink;
-outputs: single-ended on RCA;
- supply: external 9 to 24VDC;

:eek: Near 200KHz audio bandwidth @ up to 32 bit depth :wow:

Having picked myself up off of the floor can i ask a question?

I'll be honest & say that i understand what this is about, however is there downloadable music that approaches this spec? If so how much does it cost because i bet it's no way free :eyebrows:

The file size must be enormous just for a single track, let alone an album, surely we'd be looking at the huge storage of something like a blu ray disc for just a single album (if you can imagine it'd be loaded onto one)...

I must be some kind of fossil or something looking to these specs :lolsign:

My pleasure, I have extremely high hopes for the M2Tech dacs, quite a number of companies have licensed M2Tech's async USB.

Ali just been listening to the EVO ( first chance I have had really ) with a lithium ion battery, it is really good,perhaps beter than anything else I have heard, more tests with linear supplies to follow, Keith.
