Personally I’m sick to the back teeth of “gotcha & woke” journalists like Kay Burley, Beff Ribgy, Peston and even worse the BBC crew including Maitliss and the sneering cow that is Naga Munchetty telling us what we should think on a daily basis.
Mr Neil will hold anyone to account, no matter what their standing.
One only has to look at his interview with SNP cult leader Sturgeon and her utter failure to respond with anything more than utter drivel to his cast iron facts.

I tend to agree, I worked with media people for five years and they are very mediocre in nature, and now they are egotistical, self important and self aggrandising.

I also find the spectacle of Neil nauseating.

There was me thinking he’d just launched a badly measuring dac and the ASR crew had savaged it.

Funny how he seems to have more hair these days, darker too. :)

With the exception of general elections and 'Brexit night' I've not watched the news or read a paper for years. It isn't good for your mental health.

It's just the same stories every day, same stories that they were reporting when I was a kid:

Trouble in Northern Ireland
Kicking off in the middle east
Famine
climate change
poverty
war
Natural disaster
terrorism
A politician said something

No doubt if I lived to be a thousand years old it would still be the same. I mean you wouldn't watch a TV show where the plot was exactly the same every episode would you? (exception: 'Columbo').

Actually the only thing that they used to report on but don't any more is Farming. In the 1970s and early 1980s there would always be a report at least once a week on how farmers are having 'their worst year ever.' They don't do that anymore although I've no idea why.

Edit: reply to Dave

Hope not, just getting annoyed by the same old presenters getting loads of money by being so "woke" (what a word :spew:)"right on" and politically correct.

mind you if it becomes a new bunch of presenters doing all the above then I will be really pissed off :)

Yes BBC Breakfast is impossible to watch when the screaming screechy thing is, well, screeching. Actually it's impossible to watch whoever is there when we ''wake up'' in the mornings.

Do they still do that? Last time I saw News At Ten it was still Trevor Mcdonald doing it. Just checked and he left in 2008.

Haven't watched breakfast telly in decades. I don't want to see anyone first thing - and that includes looking in the mirror. I used to start the day with radio, but I'm even too grumpy for that, so I just come on here to see what nonsense has been posted overnight. Lately the insomniacs have been notably absent :)

Nope, that's the reason they're doing it.
There is a gaping hole the size of a universe in the market for a news channel that isn’t left wing, Brexit hating and anti British.
One only has to look at the BBC’s handling of last night at the proms to see where their values lay.
As soon as the bias broadcasting company goes subscription only the better, and its not far off!
I mean, why does one have to pay the BBC to watch any live broadcast on any channel (including) YouTube even if one decides not to view any BBC content?
And if one doesn’t pay, and one views, then there’s the threat of imprisonment!
But hey, don’t forget that Gary Lineker earns £1.75M of your money and Zoe Ball has just had a near £1M pay rise because she’s female. Equality and all that.
Utter madness and well out of touch with the way people view their media these days.
Im just glad I cancelled my license ages ago.

Not sure whether it's racist to imply that Trevor McDonald is a talented dog :D

A mate did point out to me that the ITV Daytime News resembles 'Brass Eye' both in appearance and tone so I had to watch that. And in truth it's not far off.

Not missed not having a TV as such. So much negative shite on it, followed by endless repeats of negative shite.

Good news..

https://www.spectator.co.uk/article/charles-moore-on-bbc-reform

Also Paul Dacre could be heading the utterly useless thing that is Ofcom.
The left and certain BBC employees have gone into utter meltdown on twitter & elsewhere and are saying they’ll quit their jobs.
Bye then, and don’t let the door hit you on the arse on the way out.
It’s not like they’ll get those hyper inflated salaries from any other company.

Great to hear, along with Laurence Fox starting a political party to turn the tide on woke bullshit, 2020 the summer of hate, bring it on.

Not sure about "summer of hate" - I don't hate anyone, but I do have self respect and a certain amount of pride in my forebears.

Only reason i have a TV on mi wall is to play games or watch footie. Apart from that music talks far more sense to me than anything from the gogglebox. Mebbe getting into the realms of conspiracy theories but ill avoid the conditioning ta :).

Hate is never the solution to anything. Calm and rational opposition to this bullshit is what is required. Or failing that just ignore it and it will eventually go away.

Hate is their weapon of choice and as they are finding out, it is massively counter-productive.

Nope me neither. Begins with a P and rhymes with Mikey. Learnt all I need to know in the film "Snatch". I would be happy to have my preconceptions changed by something that puts them in a positive light, but none seems to be forthcoming

It seems strange that a bunch of people go out of their way to have no redeeming characteristics at all.
