Well guess posting something is nice :), hi all, nice to see familiar names still here,
Not been around the forums much, playing with computers and bicycles, sorting out a loft floor and lately having another kid has occupied my time.
Interestingly the having five weeks off due to the new kid had me revisiting some forums, I even read a new magazine,
Reading Malcom Stewards "Web Of Lies" article put a smile on my face, reminded me of certain individuals and experiences which led me away from forums myself lol.
I have had a few changes at home, as kids do lead to, house feels damn small now with three kids, anyway I divided the sitting room, now have no hifi racks in here.
Trying to sort out a more minimal system, one that can fit in a double width rack under a 50" plasma tv. Can't seem to find a cheap reasonable item that can house 19" kit side by side without bowing, while also giving room for a 50" to 60" plasma. To be honest, a small HTPC with the likes of a Tact 2.2x and active speakers would probably be more suitable than the Mana racks full of Theta and Krell and big imposing Kef R-107's. Sadly I don't have the money to spend at the mo.
As such my main system has taken over the bedroom, (my bedroom projector also broke :( which got me started with a tidy up), so currently have a Mana rack in the corner with my power and turntable PSU dumped on the chest of drawers (almost 2m wide, my projecter used to project above this but don't need to keep it clear now). Sadly while trying to store my Ref table, the corner of the top glass shelf got a nasty chip :steam:, and I am trying to keep my 2 shelf Mana amp table, 8 small Mana platforms and two large Mana frames out the way along side two Target racks full of kit :brickwall:
I now don't seem (at the moment) to have the space for my other mana racks and there is too much kit. :rolleyes: Time to tie a knot in a particullar place :)
