Wanted MiniDSP-22D / 22A or similar alternative

As per the title, I am looking to overcome a mid bass bump in my lounge acoustics so want to try out some room correction if anyone is considering parting with a 22D or 22A; I'll also consider alternative makes if anyone has any useful suggestions, my DAC has balanced outputs so prefer XLR connections if possible.

I had a similar issue with my Quads in their previous listening room (smallish loft).

It was cured by this device as per some recommendations from here. It digitally equalizes the signal before it gets to the DAC, so:Source > BehringerDEQ > DAC. Connect it via SP-DIF (optical) out from the source to DAC.

I also have the microphone which measures the in room response and adjusts the parametric EQ accordingly. It does a decent job but with some tweaks from listening I was able to pretty much flatten out the room response.

Might not be exactly what you're looking for and probably not quite as good as a MiniDSP but it really worked for me.

Price is very good for a digital parametric EQ. It has a lot of other useful features which I haven't even begun to explore to be fair.

I don't actually require it in the immediate future so I'd be happy to lend it to you if you think it might be worth a try?

Hi Chris,
Many thanks for the extremely kind offer, someone over on the Wigwam has also suggested this Behringer unit as a cheaper solution, judging by the review I looked up I think it was dated back around 2006 and I think the technology has moved forward with the use of Dirac and other similar programs so I think I will try to explore that solution if I can find a suitable unit for sale
