Updating/Re-wiring a Linn LV-X arm (on an '86 Heybrook TT2)

The Turntable/Arm pretty much straight from when I got 'em in '86 (ish).....with the addition of a Linn K9 in '89.
Always been un-impressed by the stock wiring to molded phono connections as originally supplied....thinking of bringing the whole thing into this century:)
Any tips/recommendations....I'm into a bit of DIY too!!:eyebrows:

Really.....the V is better than the more expensive (at the time) X....?

Originally bought the deck new with an LV-V....and took it back next day to 'upgrade' to an LV-X

The LV-V has greater mass, making it more suited to modern lower compliance cartridges, it suits MC cartridges well, which is why i mentioned the Denon DL-110. The LV-X is a low mass design and will tend towards bass lightness with many MC's and MM's with reduced compliance, due to the cantilever's articulation on its suspension being limited at lower frequencies.
