Valve bases - Which are the best?

Guy's, what makes for the best attributes for a valve base?

I understand we can have gold or silver pins. But we can also have valve bases made from Ceramic, Teflon, plastic, which is best?

I'm planning a new reference MM phonostage build so would like some help.

I like Teflon bases, used them in a few amps.
