Help with iplayer radio recordings onto WMP

Im trying to record late night radio progams from the iplayer onto Windows media player and then drag and drop to my sony walkman but im having some trouble.
When i download the program its ready to play but when i look for it in the download files i cant find it. I try to open it up from the library but its no where to be seen. Can any body give me a few pointers?

Can any body give me a few pointers?The t&cs and mode of operation of the iplayer are designed to discourage this. I suspect you might find some files under your My Music or My Videos section on a PC, but they probably have DRM coding to prevent playing by other players. You can always play them back in iplayer and re-record.

The whole area of legality and acceptable use comes in here. You might do better to use one of the DAB radios which has a recording feature. These often put the data onto flash cards, which can be read off as mp2 (often playable as mp3s - but some players may require a conversion) files.

Something like the Pure Bug might do the trick - e.g http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Pure-Bug-Digital-Radio-/170515452410 - though newer radio models may be better and have larger capacity, and (arguably!!!) look better.

Another route is to use a Freeview or Freesat PVR. Some models do allow files to be downloaded and used relatively easily - though earlier models may be very painful in this area.

Thanks. Makes sense now although i find it amazing you can record movies on iplayer. I used to record from freeview and i found the quality better than DAB.
I move recently and im having problem with aerial installation,it being rented property so thats up the spout at the moment.

I move recently and im having problem with aerial installation,it being rented property so thats up the spout at the moment.If you record movies using iPlayer they will become unavailable after a while. It might be possible to overcome that, but would violate the T&Cs. Also, not all programmes are downloadable - some are streaming only - though that's not necessarily a problem. I'm amazed that they work on an iPad - allbeit with a slight lip sync issue, but the picture quality is pretty good for a small device.

Can I suggest that you try Radio Downloader?

It's free, and in my experience, works. I don't find it intuitive to use, so you may have to persevere.
