Good to be here to say hello to you all. I am from Hong Kong. I am a local pop song lover .

My system is a budget one. It is composed of the JVC's K2 tech that I count on very much since 2016.

CD player: Xbox One (with Jitterbug)
DAC: JVC su ax7 and JVC su ax01
AMP: Onkyo CS725 mini hifi
Speaker: Monitor Audio BX2
Cable: QED XT40, QED performance J2P Graphite, QED performance optical.

I collect local pop song CDs in format of K2HD, XRCD with K2 mastering so as to sound like analog master tape quality as suggested by its website.

Hello Mico, welcome to AoS, I had not heard of K2HD until you came along, so I looked it up, quite interesting https://www.jvckenwood.com/en/technology/k2/what-is-k2.html. Do you know if its in commercial use or never caught on?

Hello Adrian, this K2 tech was mainly promoted in Japan. It is already commercial use but never caught on in Hong Kong.

In 2011, K2HD mastering version of local pop album were introduced here. I bought my JVC su ax7 DAC in mid 2016. I play normal CDs with it and didn't aware its K2 capability on how far it can go. One and a half year later that I accidentally play some downloaded K2HD WAV file on Mac decoded by su ax7, I was astonished. It is the familiar sound of my cassette era. I bought its successor su ax01 from Japan as well.

My avatar (sic) is of Manjushri, the bodhisattva of wisdom and knowledge. Bodhisattvas are mortals who having attained enlightenment, choose not to take the final step into nirvana or extinction and so escape the cycle of birth and rebirth. Rather, they have elected to remain behind to help other mortals achieve enlightenment. They are roughly the Buddhist equivalent to saints.

Manjushri’s purpose was to lead beings in an inquiry whereby they could discover the true nature of reality. For that reason, he is usually depicted displaying the two tools essential to that investigation: in his right hand he wields the double-edged sword of logic or analytic discrimination and in his left, a text on Buddhist teaching. Manjushri's sword of discriminating wisdom is tipped with flames to show that it severs all notions of duality. It can cut away delusion, aversion and longing, to reveal understanding, equanimity and compassion. Manjushri is depicted as a youth suggesting that age is not a necessary precursor to wisdom.

Well I never I have just gained some enlightenment I always wondered what Steely Dan ‎– Countdown To Ecstasy song "Bodhisattva" song was about but never thought to look up the word.

My understanding is it is considered to be the embodiment of Buddhist beliefs, or its most condensed form. I believe it also refers to the Lotus which is central and the jewel, or relationship between male and female in all things.

Your comment on the relation between, and indispensability of, the male and female is also true. You might have seen tantric sculptures shown iwith a male character (often displayed in demonic form) in yab yum ("father mother") position with his female counterpart (or shakti).

He represents compassion, she insight or wisdom, and the union between the two leads to enlightenment. United, the figures symbolize the union necessary to overcome the false duality of object and subject.
