I have just taken delivery of a pair of Buchardt A500. Originally i was planning to keep a fully analogue system in place too as i felt weird about passing an analogue signal through and ADC and then a DAC, but having done some listening through The Buchardt, i certainly can't tell that there has been any digital conversion going on - the whole thing just sounds so much better! Can anyone give me any reasons or justifications for holding on to my analogue setup as well (other than box swapping fun) or should i go full on 21st century and ditch the pre and power amps and the passive speakers?

No reason I can think of. Looks like a great set up. Maybe needs a rug ;)

All those LPs will be a ballache to sell off, I'd keep your analogue, never know when you might get back into it.

I wont be getting rid of the records - they would just need to go through the ADC

Hi Phil,

is that the ADC incorporated into the 'hub' that is available as a package with the A500's?

Setup looks really nice, the speakers really do seem an all-in-one solution.

Yes, it's clever. You wander around the room for a minute holding an iPhone and it uses the mic to pick up in low frequency room modes and corrects them

Also did you try out any of the other mastertuning profiles - the ones you download and input into each speaker?
