An Excellent HiFi rack

After looking for a rack that was big enough to accomodate my growing component list and without requiring the sale of a liver to finance, I had almost given up any hope and considered making do by using two small 'cheap' racks. Then I thought of having a custom rack made, but wait, that has to be an expensive option, right? That was my inital reaction but I thought I would have a look see, nothing ventured....
My initial research was promising then I came across 'Shapaulz personalised bespoke gifts' based in Runcorn on facebook.
I spoke to Paul from 'Shapaulz' gave him the specifications and explained what I had in mind and he gave me a very competive quote. A custom made wooden rack for the price of a small off the shelf unit, it was a no brainer!
I mailed the spikes and spike cups to Paul and waited.
Couple of weeks later and they were ready. Safe to say I'm one happy bunny! Paul has done a top job. Now I have a rack to accomodate my components and it didnt cost me an arm and a leg or even a liver!

Paul works mostly with pine, if that is not an issue and you are after a HiFi rack then get in touch with 'Shapaulz...' I think you will be pleasantly surprised how reasonable the cost will be when compared with 'specialist HiFi' prices.

Yeah..top marks...that looks the part..very professional looking job..Pine is a great wood to work with and it lasts the stand of time...If it's strong enough for dining tables, chairs, bedroom and lounge furniture..well...say no more...and it's certainly a dense enough wood for isolation purposes..not to mention being inexpensive. I'm surprised there is not a lot more racks designed and made from pine.

I only mentioned the Pine aspect, just in case somebody wanted one made from some different wood. As it is, the pine looks good, does the job and as Mad Moon has noted it is inexpensive.
