Much prefer the old London buses though, which I was sorry to see when they were eventually de-commissioned. It's a good pic (nicely taken), but for me modern buses are rather soulless.

Nice duckies too... However, the other pics look a bit grim (sorry), depicting rather unkept/unloved parkland. That archway area looks decidedly dodgy, and at night probably an ideal place to be mugged or raped!:eek::bum::eek:;)

Although, some folk (of a certain persuasion/kink) might enjoy that!:lol:

Thought you liked the ‘natural’ look? Woods being woods will be naturally ‘unkept’ & not florally coiffured (except for wild flowers). I actually thought it was more pleasant than a ‘formal’ park, more like a walk in the country.

Yes, I have a soft spot for the old RTs & RMs but they didn't get you anywhere quickly & were bloody freezing in the winter with the wind whistling into the open back.

Certainly hot enough to be tropical! Anyway teeth have passed muster & been descaled & I've got some nice chops for tomorrow (just in so won't be cooking them tonight).

(Miss the platform & have to suffer reconstructive facial surgery).

My local route runs every 6-7 minutes into Romford then on into bandit country (Dagenham.. sorry Al) so if you miss one that's as long as you'll have to wait and locally a bus will get you where you want to go just about as quickly as driving. They run all night (not as frequently) but if you're having a sherry or two with your maiden aunt in Chadwell Heath you don't have to worry about how to get home.

Central London you use the tube.
