Okay...so it's time to say hello...."Hello"

What can I say.....always been keen on 'HiFi' since my Dad bought me a Rotel RA-210 'system' in 1973. (suppose a clue to age there!)
There was a Creek...was it CS4040(?) and some Monitor Audio R352's in '83...then dabbled in a bit of 'assembly' with some Crimson kits in around '86....still using them today.
Went through an Arcam phase in the late 90's....ably assisted by some Castle Severns.

Kind of brings me to today!
Have acquired a 'pair' of JLH Monoblocs...along with an Exposure VI/VII combo, all from the 80's (all needing a lot of work!!)....and wondered whether it was time to think about trying some Transmission Line boxes!

All of a sudden...New/State of the Art isn't so appealing any more.

And that's what brought me here.

Just realised....I've not said much about myself:eyebrows:

Hello Kev. Welcome to AOS.

The JLH monos are interesting, I bet most won't have a clue about them. DIY transmission lines could be fun too.

If you get any projects on the go, you could feature them in our Gallery or The Drawing Board sections.

Enjoy the forum,
Geoff.

Hi to Alan, Geoff and Andy
....thanks for the welcome!

Plans for the future...well....lot's of good intentions.
I've a couple of Hammond C3's with valve Leslies.....from an earlier dalliance(!)....that really need sorting.
Also ...a couple of Revox R2R's to be worked on, and moved on.

Music-wise...taste is pretty wide. As a guitar player/nutcase...have dabbled in all-sorts of styles...Blues, Hawaiian....and am immersed in Django at the moment.
1st love I suppose...was The Nice/ELP (70's)....that's never gone away!:)
Love a whole range of Classical/Opera too.
