FS: Quad Vena 2 integrated amp/dac/pre

Can be used as a preamp or full integrated amp. has aptX bluetooth, and an es9108 sabre dac doing up to dsd 256 as well as usb 384...
I mostly used it as a pre/dac (as i liked to use my monoblocks as power out so i had short speaker cables) and found it excellent.
Alas only issue is the battery cover of remote is missing, although it works fine. a nice solid remote made of metal. This also has an improved(dedicated) headphone amp and its own (more than decent) mm phono amp in.
Only selling as I upgraded a fair bit with a Pathos.

The Vena 2 is fairly new and is in pretty excellent shape barring the battery cover for the remote is currently missing alas. Need to source something or use a bit of card but it works fine, the disc battery doesnt move.

Anyone know how this compares to a quad 405/306?
And has anyone heard one with kef 104/2?

Also, does this stay on the last used source when it is turned off and on?
Or does it start again on the default, requiring the source to be selected at every turn on?

Well it amplifies. Any other similarity to the 405 or 306 will be purely by chance.

no it stays where it was, buy it turns volume down before energising. You can see the pot turning. Not a bad idea. No idea re the 405 etc or the speakers

Heard this amp several times, sounds very very good.
Crackin' bit of kit, spot on if your looking for a low box count system.

Excellent Dac too.

Grant, I happen to have a Quad remote for this amp. It was faulty on arrival so Quad replaced it foc. The battery cover works fine though :lol: so whoever buys this can have my cover. You can put your price up by £50 now! Excellent amp by the way GLWS.

Its a good buy especially as it has everything in one box.. quite a heavy little thing too. ive a pic of the inside

im not sure it isnt better in many ways than my new Pathos, but i did fancy a change and the pathos will still break in a fair bit. these quads improve a lot with running like most electonic stuff...
