View Full Version : 3,000th Post - I deserve a custom moniker...

Well you've now endured 3,000 instances of my witterings. I suspect I've learned an awful lot more from you guys than you have from me, but hopefully I've at least made you smile occasionally!

To celebrate, I'd like to have a customised "title" to replace Senior Member like a lot of you have... As a lot of my music (and indeed attitude to life) is chillout, and the only advice I've been able to give is under the "wine recommendations" thread - how about "Chilled-Out Wino"? Or any other suggestions, and remember this is a family-friendly site, please! :eyebrows:

How many posts does one have to make to earn a customised moniker?

Alex, to encourage you to stick to the diet, how about "Super-slim Chilled Out Wino"?

Regards

I don't think there is a specified number Barry, people with lots less than you have them (well Joe does, can't think of any others off the top of my head...) I think you should have one too...

I think "Super-Slim" might be over-egging it, maybe "Deflating Chilled-Out Wino"! :)

That's kind of you Alex. Will wait until my 2500th post. I can't think of anything suitable, so maybe other members might be able to suggest something for consideration.

Regards

PS I must say that I appreciate the rolling avatar. Not being a parent myself, it's nice to see your daughter grow up (by proxy).

Thanks Barry - it kind of started as a joke, because everyone said she was the spitting image of me when she was born (no hair, chubby cheeks, grizzly fizzog!) - but it has stuck now on virtually all forums I frequent, facebook etc. I do sometimes think about changing the habit, but don't think I could now!

Will start to think about one for you...

Alex,

Congrats on your 3000th post, and every one a pearl of wisdom (mostly) :eyebrows:

Seriously though, I always enjoy reading your contributions. I like your taste in music, too. You are definitely one of our most valued contributors, so keep up the good work and we'll do our best to keep you entertained! ;)

When you decide what you'd like your custom title to be, just us know - and that includes anyone else, too. Members can request custom titles at any time.

Marco.

'Willy-out chinos?'

Or any other suggestions, and remember this is a family-friendly site, please!

Oh. In that case, ignore my suggestion.

:lol::lol::lol::lol:

There's also the concern that once free of the chinos the willy might start waving - and nothing irks the moderators more than a bit of that!

Pah, I laugh at your 3K posts...I've got over 6K of posts (not on this forum though)...

I wonder how many posts I have over the various forums - I'm a bit bored so....

It would appear that I have approximately 8,567 posts (plus a few more on forums I couldn't be bothered logging in to and the posts I have deleted) - hmm..........

Approximately? Looks quite precise to me. Anyway isn't all this 'willy waving'?

Not really - seems more sad to me (but then so is willy waving). Barry, the 'approx' bit was intended as a form of joke :).

@Marco - yeah, 6.4K of them are on pfm - I notice quite a few contributors have similar so it's nothing special.

It makes sense, Mark, as being a Linn (ish)/Naim chap, pfm is your natural home. Please continue to top up your posting rate here, though, whenever the urge arises! :)

Amateur!

8,361 on PFM, 1,279 here and 887 on Zerogain, and every post a carefully-crafted example of English prose at its finest.
