Okey McDokey, I thought it was time to get my lazy backside back into music, which coupled my love of Hi-Fi for years and earned a few quid along the way.

I'm going to start with my earliest material (that I deem listenable) and get into the remastering suite, and bring you lovely members of Art Of Sound some of my Filterlab compositions. For every remaster I do, I'll post on this thread a downloadable .aiff and .wav version, and as members you may download and listen to them free, non-gratis, forever!

I only ask that you do not redistribute the tracks and that anyone who wants a copy should be directed to join the forum (and maybe throw the forum a few quid please and thank you) and comment on the track - i.e. whether they like it, hate it, can't get over it, can't get into it, or whatever.

The compositions are purely electronic, mellow electronica in style, so folk guitar lovers probably shouldn't bother. These are high resolution masters rather than lossy compressed rubbish, so a large download they will be.

First up then, a track composed in early 1996 called Through My Eyes (copyright Filterlab Music 1996 and Filterlab Music 2020)...

Through My Eyes (2020 Remaster) in .aiff format (https://www.dropbox.com/s/wfrywovnavp6jt9/Through%20My%20Eyes%20%282020%20Remaster%29.aiff?d l=0)

Ok, eyes down. Next up and fresh out of the remastering suite is a track which is actually part 2 of a pair. Oddly on re-listening I felt this was far more substantial than part 1, and the delicate piano contrasts the edgy synth and weighty bass.

So, I present to you Spaced Out from 1997 (copyright Filterlab Music 1997 and Filterlab Music 2020)...

Awesome stuff, Rob... Love it to bits! Elements of both Tangerine dream and early Kraftwerk in there... A mesmerising, melodic masterpiece!

Thanks kindly. As I moved forward I learned a lot about production so it tends to show. I’ll add more as I can. I have a 25 year back catalogue of stuff.

I also started on composing a new album last night, one track (the opener) is 80% of the way there. :)

No problem. When I have enough remastered to fill a CD I’ll pop a copy over to you. 👍🏻

Hmmm, may not be able to master to a 78 or 8-track, I can do compact cassette though as I've just received a tape deck to do some analogue to digital recordings for a good friend of mine. :D
