It's been a while now, he passed away in January, but it's take until now for me to be able mention him... it hurts.

He was many things, strange, crazy, friendly, scary, a performer, an artist, a character, a father. But most of all, he was my friend. He was loved and will be missed by many.

Very sorry to hear that, Mikey. It's always tough to lose a close friend. Cherish your memories, as I know you will.

Marco.

I looked like you had some great times together. Not someone to take life for granted, I'll bet. When you do the things you both enjoyed that's when you'll feel closest. Those things might be the most painful at the the moment, but as time goes on, they'll be the things that are the best.

Live as he would live and enjoy what you have, for him. All the best, Mike.

I would have gone years ago if I did that. He was unique and a bloody nutter!

I mentioned him on here because of his music and musical connections... he knew Wayne Hussy and the rest of The Mission, they even collaborated on lyrics at one time!

 'Shelter From The Storm' is a fantastic track... I've got a great live version tucked away somewhere. He looked like the spitting image of Clint Poppie too!

That's a great expression, Jeff. Sorry to hear your bad news Mike. Is there any of his work you could link to on the web - I'm well aware of the Mission (and you've just made me order Children on enhanced CD, as I know my copy on vinyl is virtually worn out...) But I don't know of Damage, or what band(s) he was in.

sorry to hear that mike,
i think we all sensed there was something bothering you for a while, now we know.
he looked like he lived life to the full, and one who would probably have agreed that its better to burn out than fade away!
A...

I don't think there is, Alex. He wasn't a famous musician or anything like that, he was pretty awful really :lolsign:

... More like a 'local legend'. He was more the guy you'd find doing something bonkers at a local pub/club or getting crazy at some festival or other.
