I remember buying the first edition of this. I still have some of the freebie cds and cassette tapes. Can it be 34 years?

I've got loads of copies from the 1990s and a few tapes. It was probably the best music mag in its early years. Gave up on it when it became a U2, REM and Springsteen fanzine in about 1999.

Surprised it was still going until now.

i remember one tape which had some great songs on it from The Senators and Jazz Devils amongst others. I discovered a lot of good music through Q reviews.

I haven't bought a copy in decades but I did still read it online occasionally via my library service. I suspect that the writing is on the wall for many "print" magazines.

Have a load of the "Q" free CDs from over the years, enjoyed the Mag but things move on.

Bought the mag for the first few years, but covered less and less that was interest to me.

I switched to Uncut in the late 90's but I haven't bought it for years either now.

I was subscribed to Readly which had a few music mags, but they are all giving up printing now.

Interesting looking at the old covers. Reminds me of where I was at certain times ...

I preferred MOJO, but these days I rarely read music or hi-fi magazines.

TBH I was never much impressed with the quality of writing of any of the music mags (e.g. Q, Mojo, Uncut). However, they were useful in finding out new music releases and new artists. These days, that is much better achieved with a subscription to a streaming music service. Perhaps it is surprising that Q and others survived for as long as they have.

The only music magazine I might buy these days is the BBC Music magazine, but only if the attached CD interests me. ;)

It seems most of Q writers now have radio slots, several on bbc R6, radmac etc.
