Just been experimenting using my DAW ( Amarra Model 5 )to play vinyl, the Model 5 is a DAC and ADC, and recorder, it can create the RIAA curve ( or any other curve for that matter ) digitally , I had some leads made so I could plug the tonearm leads directly into the Model 5, configured the RIAA and music.
I have a bit more experimenting with different loading on the cartridge, but at the moment it sounds good, incredibly quiet, hearing lots of low level stuff, that I didn't hear before and a lot more H/F.
My new phono and pre arrives next week so it should make for an interesting comparison!
