I have a pair of Audio Note Js, which i've yet to hear properly due to ongoing problems with an amplifier. So I'm after another, a valve amp to suit Audio note Js, thanks. Spend around the £500 mark. Listen to vinyl/cd.

Hi Mike, my amp is still available for £450 ono, should be a good match for your Js. I live in Brighton too.

Mine is available too, over budget granted but used with my Audio Notes. It's only for sale as I finally caved and bought a Radford :D

Thanks, but that's a bit too much power for my needs.

40 Watts in Triode mode isn't too much as it happens and I used this with my Audio Note speakers no problem whatsoever...... :)

Which ones? I currently have Js type b, yet to give them a good listen due to valve amp woes.

I don't think I've heard anybody say an amplifier is too powerful before :).

My very old Lowthers were rated at six watts and worked happily on the end of a 220 watt mosfet power amp.

Still looking for something close to my budget, needs 3 inputs.

Hi Mike, have you considered adding a simple 3 input passive like a s/h tisbury ? Amps with multiple inputs tend to be a bit more pricey.
I use a glasshouse passive with a single input valve amp to good effect.

Never thought of that, thanks.

My valve amp now is operating ok and sounding sweet, but not so good with the scratchy kind of 60s rock i like, so on the lookout for something suitable for that, and i'll just have 2 amps on my stand. An old Exposure integrated may'be?
