The latest toys with their hernia inducing stands .
These sound astonishing given their size.

They look plush. What era are they from - late 90s?

Hi Shane,
I believe they were made in around 1995 , not much info about them as according to electrocompaniet they were a “ hobby “ project ( their words ) apparently very few were made , they didn’t even release a manual for them , the stands are even rarer.

some serious woodworking going on there. I guess they are a 2 and a half way design?

Hi Martin, I think I read somewhere about them being a d'appolito design , for their size you just wouldn’t believe the sound that they push out . Solid wood too .

They are, but I dislike the term because Dan D'Appolito did not invent the concept/configuration.

It's possible that as Martin suggests, they could be two and a half way, but two way is more common.

'D'Appolito' just the configuration of the drive units also known as 'MTM' - mid - tweeter - mid, or the Mary Tyler Moore arrangement as I like to call it :)

Depends on whether the lower mid-bass unit just does bass below about 400hz or whether both mid-bass units output exactly the same signal. I'd guess at the first option but just wondered.

The bass-mid drivers look familiar, Usher and Neat use versions of the same unit.
