Hi, can anyone recommend a photo hosting site,a free one:) I used to be able to upload my pics from my tablets internal files onto here but it no longer works, I now just get an error message, thanks

Bobby dazzler, thank you:) edit, that didn't work I'm afraid, entered my email and the password provided and diddly:scratch: when I try to upload from my files on the tablet i get, theartofsound.net says, the following errors occurred, 20200531_165420.jpg: upload of file failed, any ideas?

https://imgur.com/ is really easy. When you upload a photo you want to host, copy the BBCode (message boards & forums) and paste it into your thread or post.

I signed up to "Postimage" only a couple of days ago. First time that I have used any sort of photo host and it went really well. Bearing that in mind these are the things that I did (I am not an expert, so please excuse any overly simplistic bits!):

three option boxes (after email and password set) to:

"default"
"640x480" (for message boards). - I have a hunch that this may be the key one
"no expiration"

Then "choose image"

you are then given 8 options, I tried a few and this one suited me:

"hotlink for forums" url... gobbledegook.........

It "tells me" that photo is copied

then paste in to post:

Yup, I just used it to post the image above! No issues whatsoever:)

Method:

1) Select 640 x 480 (for message boards) from the dropdown menu.

2) Click 'Choose Images', which should take you straight to all the images stored on your computer.

3) Click on the Image you want to upload.

4) Then on the next menu, look at 'Hotlink for Forums' on the left, copy all the data therein.

5) Then paste the data to the posting box on AoS, then post the pic on whatever thread you wish - job done!:cool:

As someone said it was easy :rolleyes: Well, I've managed to get a pic on there, but I've no idea what to do with it now. I can move money from one pocket to another, but how the piggin' hell do you put a picture onto AoS? None of the wording on Imgur's page makes any sense to me.

I'm using Chrome, I did try using Tapatalk but that didn't work either, its confusing as didn't used to have an issue I've checked my tablets settings and I cant see anything that would cause an issue, I'm using TotalAV security, perhaps there an issue there?

No, it really isn't, unless you know what you're doing. And I don't.

There's a few billion Chinese folk who reckon speaking Chinese is easy, so go on then, say "posting pictures is easy", in Chinese. Cantonese or Mandarin, your choice :)

Sorry Ben, I can't even find that page you've pictured there. I keep finding the same couple of pages which show options which make no sense to me, showing stuff like 'Hidden/community', 'Embed posts', and other such nonsense.

The only way I'm going to learn is if I have 'The Governess' standing over me ready to slap me round the head each time I get it wrong ;)

Top of reply box in aos, look for the box with a tree in it. Click it and in the box that pops up, right click your mouse, then in the drop down menu left click paste. Then click OK. That code you copied will now appear in your post with a code around it. IMG on either side.
When you click post the picture will miraculously appear... Hopefully

You can I think click a box at bottom to get them up or change it in settings in aos.
Just mentioning this as I remember this happening before.

Tried that, but this laptop doesn't seem to have a 'right click'. It has a big oblong button at the bottom which I use to left click, and right clicking this does nothing. I'll have a look for an old fashioned mouse to plug in when I get home tonight. I'm sure I have one somewhere.

Yeah I always use a mouse.

If you want to right-click on a laptop without using the trackpad, you can do it using a keyboard shortcut. Position the cursor and hold down "Shift" and press "F10" to right-click. Some laptops also have a specific key called a "Menu" key that can be used for right-clicking.

I don’t think they are too big, nice to get a decent photo of a set up. Saves me having to get the magnifying glass out. That picture would have been so much better in landscape too, maybe that is a another hurdle for a different day :D

Just remember if you cock up editing the photo you can just delete it, upload another and start again.
