In recent years my limited amount of music streaming has been done via the appropriate application on my Macmini, mainly using Spotify Free most of the time and occasionally the Premium service when they've offered me a discounted package.
Having had a recent foray into Hi Res streaming, namely the months free trial of Tidal, I got the free trial of Qobuz as well but found a lot of the music I like, particularly New Age was rather absent so I've stuck to listening to Tidal. I think in the near future I need to consider a stand alone budget streamer which I can control with either my iphone or ipad rather than having the necessity of having to fire up my Macmini and TV and having to do searching and operation with a keyboard and mouse.
The Yamaha WXAD-10 MusicCast streamer seems to be a prime candidate at a reasonable price.
I would appreciate comments both positive or negative which may help me to assess if the unit will fit my requirements, particularly how well the iphone and ipad app operation works.
