Afternoon guys.

I’m putting a list together for the system ancillaries and wondered if I could get some input and steering in the right direction (if needed) on the below items. For the older gear I am trying to make sure the “upgrades” are more in keeping with the original design, hence the reason for wanting to go with rhodium plated over gold.

Mains

Furutech FI-1363 (Cu) Copper Mains Plug
Furutech FI-11 (Cu) IEC Connector
Furutech FP-TCS21 Mains Power Cable

Amplifiers

Trio KA-6000: Furutech FP-901
Pioneer M-90: Furutech FP-900

Graphic Equaliser

Technics SH- 8055: Furutech FP-900

CD Player

Nakamichi MB-1: Furutech FP-900

Tuner

Trio KT-8005: Furutech FP-901

Interconnect/Phono/RCA Cable

Van Damme Shotgun Audio Twin Interconnect (Sapphire Blue)
WBT-0152 Cu Nextgen RCA Plug

Celestion Ditton 44: Cardas CCBP
Monitor Audio PMC 705: WBT-0705 Cu

Speaker Cable

Van Damme UP-LCOFC (6mm)

WBT-0661/-0681 Cu Sandwich Spade

I never quite understand using rhodium which costs so much and does not conduct as well as copper

Are you talking about the choice of using the Furutech FP-901 with the Trio amp and tuner? If you are, it’s not because of the coating, it’s down to what would look appropriate.

It’s the same reason I don’t like seeing gold binding posts on vintage cabinets and want to use the Cardas CCBP on my Celestion Ditton 44.

Well I'd sell the Ditton 44s. I don't like them.

Out of interest, why?

I've had a couple of pairs and while the treble is lovely, I thought the mid a bit coloured and short of ultimate resolution. The bass is somewhat leaden too.

Watch it with the volume control, the HF2000 tweeters can blow if you abuse them and you get no warning, they just stop working.
