Lowther Acousta's

Pair of Lowther Acousta's fitted with PM6A drivers which have the late type rolled back whizzer cones.The cabinets have a highly polished finished ,but do have a number of scratches and chips to the surface.These could be sanded down and re varnished but I think it would spoil the antiqued period look.
These are genuine Lowther cabinets made from birch ply rather than the cheaper chipboard type and still retain the brass Lowther plaques at the back.
The grilles are fine with no stains or tears and again have the Lowther badges.
The PM6A drivers are in excellent condition with no foam rot or other faults,and I have all the original double boxes and packaging.
Looking for £395 collection preferred but could deliver within 50 miles of Merseyside for fuel money.I can send photo's by email to anyone interested.

These are very good folks,I've heard them.Well worth the asking IMO.I'd have 'em myself if I had room.But no,I've already got three pairs of speakers...

These are another pair with the PM6a alnico magnets just up your street,I have a pair of SD1's so must sell one or the other so I am offering the lowthers first.

I'd love to have them but I'm stuck with the statics now,as Nick is building me some direct-coupled amps for them.I still have the MLTL's though! These will be used for AV duties once the amps are built,driven by a Tripath amp,as the direct amp will consume rather a large amount of electrickery.

I will give to any buyer "Free of charge" a pair of Spuddo monobloc's with their own power supply and all connecting leads,they are only 1 wpc but were made to suit Lowthers in Hedlund cabinets.
They are over engineered with huge transformers and Ansar caps,the power supply uses 5 Danbury chokes,the parts alone must have cost a small fortune.
In the interest of safety these should be contained in some sort of cabinet to prevent access to the high voltages used.

These are a gift and as such no guarantee's are offered.
