looking for 50cm of Mogami 2549 that I can use to make up a pair of XLR interconnects. I have plugs and 50cm of cable left over from another project.

Alternatively maybe a pair of short Mogami 2549 XLR leads max 1.5m, shorter better

I have 1.5M Stereo pair – Audience AU24E interconnect (Balanced XLRs), which I believe to be this Mogami (?), as I had a longer length of Mogami equivalent made up in Germany. However, unlike the speaker cable that can be verified, the interconnect is sleeved, so can't see the cable......... and it's unfortunately pretty expensive !

"Cheapskate" is only a relative term.....LOL..... I invariably treat a cheapskate with respect, as we have all been somewhere in that region at some time in our lives and made the best of what we could afford. A 1m pair of XLR Au24 (http://www.atacama-audio.co.uk/p/audience-au24-se-xlr-to-xlr-nterconnects-1m-pair?pp=24) interconnects is listed at £1999 RRP, so my £300 asking price (for 1.5M) can't look bad, even for a cheapskate.....?

not in a hurry, think its best to wait and see if some cable offcut comes along, its only £3/m to buy BUT the P&P hurts on small lenghs

You've got me curious now... just what Mogami cable that Audience use for their AU24 interconnects. As I said above, the speaker cable is easy identified marked on the cable, but I can't find anything about what Audience used and I can't really believe they charge £2k for 1M of cable that costs £3/M, even if the XLRs ARE very expensive....MMmmmmmmm??!

Usually if you can find a retailer on eBay (or wherever in the UK?) that has what you're after postage is usually free, or very reasonable. When these cables came in from Germany I remember the P&P being about the same as sending something in the UK.

FFS!!!!! No wonder you're reluctant. Enough cable to put in an A4 envelope and send second class, but they want £9.99...... Jeeeeeeez.
