For Sale Ruark Talisman 3

Rare opportunity to grab a pair of Talisman III, these dont come up for sale often,at least that I know of.
Bit of sun fade on the fronts, the overall cosmetic condition can be seen in the pics. Apart from the marks down the side on one of the speaker, they are in fair condition.

They are in full working order and come with front covers. Just got these back after they were repaired by Mike Powell of Micro Workshop in Bolton. Both tweeters bought from Falcon Acoustics at a cost of £89.
The crossovers on both speakers had caps replaced with Panasonic and Vishay ones and the cost of replacing tweeters came to £112. Total cost £201. The parts and labour supplied by Mike have a 90 day warranty.
Parts not even run in yet and they are already sounding pretty sweet! Changing my HiFi direction so these have to go.
£450 collection from Cheshire.

Why did you change the tweeters? I notice you have gone for soft dome rather than the ribbon tweeters they replaced?

I'm not sure this version had ribbon tweeters I think those came later.

Thats right the Crusaders had the ribbon. The replacement tweeters in the pair I am selling are exactly the same as the originals. I got them in the condition as can be seen in the pics.These dont come up for sale often so when I got opportunity, I bought these with a mind to repairing them. Now these are repaired and I'm going down the valve road so somebody else can have the benefits are a newly repaired and upgraded pair of Talisman 3 :)
