Hi All

Anyone knows what is the USB chipset inside the Caiman? Is it the PCM2902E which this (http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/HA-INFO-NG-COAX-USB-SPDIF-COAX-Converter-/180528724103?cmd=ViewItem&pt=UK_Computing_ComputerComponents_SoundCards&hash=item2a0859b887) converter has? If that is the case can I use this with a Caiman+ and get a USB input for any laptops/netbooks that don't have optical outputs? And will this affect performance?

Or is it better to get a Caiman with the USB input and buy a toslink switch hub for extra toslink inputs?

Any help will be much appreciated.

I forgot to say that I am already a happy user of a Caiman+ , which I bought directly from Stan :)

Just get the converter in the link you posted, and plug it into the Caiman+.
