For sale: a pair of Fostex FE-88 SOL’s full range drivers, for backloaded horns or similar.
VERY high end pair of Fostex full range drivers.
Rare limited edition with superb reputation.
Highly regarded in back loaded horns and other DIY builds.
Come with original inner and outer packaging.
Bought from Authorised German retailer (see delivery box and have receipt).
Used with low powered amplifier in open baffle speakers and not overdriven.
Instructions included for speaker designs that these can be used in (some research will also bring others up).
Signficant saving here over new price. £100!
Note these are a significant step up over the Fe-83 SOLS sometimes also seen for sale.
and the Sol are a significant step up over other popular / well regarded 83 / 85 Fostex drivers.
These have had approximately only 100 hours use. Therefore they are already sounding very good, but may benefit from a further 100 hrs burn in. Note the original gaskets are included and have not been used.
Cost new = £268. Offered for sale here at £160.
Also on ebay, but would rather them go to an AoS / Pfm / Wam member.
Selling as I already have some much more expensive Jordans and Supravox drivers that I am playing around with (as you do)!
