Sadly Al that's the price one has to pay for high quality output valves. At least you're not paying for NOS GE or RCA 211s

Wow. I have a pair of near new (NOS) General Electric 211 valves in my store cupboard. Probably not quite as good as you have ordered but better than putting the money in a Building Society. :) Happy listening.
As used by Wile E. Coyote :D

My 'high interest' savings account has just gone down from 0.1% to 0.01%. Bedpost beckons.

If they have are you pleased with them?

When I have the TT rebuilt in its final position I will be using the TT with the Transcription Audio Pre Power combo and installing the ACME PSVANE valves
This will take some time as its bloody massive and bloody heavy even in component parts

:D Yeah it never happens before I get up and stand up. It's a gravity thing. Sounds a bit like a Bob Marley lyric :)

went into the bathroom at work this afternoon. The stench was so bad I emitted an involuntary 'Jesus!'. I went across the room and cracked open the window, thinking I'd come back in a bit.
Only then did I notice one of the traps was occupied.
I mean I'm not that bothered usually but it was so bad it was almost beyond belief.
Good to see the high level of debate, regularly enjoyed here on AoS, being maintained.

to do two, or not two do; that is a question:eyebrows:
What about doing two, twice?

kinky.. a sort of quattro experience:eek:

Don't know about that, I'd choose Audi over BMW any day.
All we need now is for the big four German car makers to produce a cripplingly heavy turntable and we will have circled back to the OP :)
Oops, there was me thinking this thread was about Al's HR Giger-inspired t/t - Honestly I have the attention span of a goldfish
the q4 etron is on currently but in 6 months or so it probably wont. one of the nicest big uns at moment is the new peugeot e3008 and the 3008. lovely motor im told. a few bmw folk going for them

Nothing poor man about my Audi Q5 , certainly would never swap for BMW, which are hopeless in any snow.

Q4 Enron is a nice car, not thinking of changing just now, not done 20,000 miles yet
Mine is an Audi A1 Sportback. It does everything I want from a car.
