Few quick questions:
I have a class D power amp and ideally would like to leave it switched on all the time and connected to speakers.
From what I can see you should always power up in this order:
Source > pre > power
If it has no pre / source I’m guessing it will push full load into the speakers and damage them?
Now to my real question > can you leave a passive pre set at low volume to the power amp without a source connected without causing issues?
I want to plug in a laptop with Dragonfly red into the pre but be able to pull it out and take it elsewhere without causing any damage.
Right now I’m powering down the power, then active pre, then removing the laptop which is a a bit of a pain.
