Opened the curtains this morning , sat down for my breakfast and noticed a big lump on the net curtain , Huum I dont remember that being there

Got up to investigate and  bloody hell it's a masive bumble bee  spent 5 min's trying the glass and card extraction meathod , on the 3 rd attempt it worked ,
It was a mighty good bumble bee , now free again :)

Well done, bumble bees are quite lovely creatures and need protection.

Yes, his wife has confirmed it. 5 mins 37 secs, precisely.

A black bee, with blue/violet wings?

European Violet Carpenter Bee, apparently. I had to look it up to see what it was.

Had a big old gal in my kitchen last week. I opened back door wide and left it.. It caught draft and left. It was getting stressed trying to get out window
