If there isn't already a thread for this, let me start one, listening to a certain Motown track today gave me the thought. Guess the song from a lyric sample.

'Mama passed away while making homemade jam'. lol.

"Mother rapers… father stabbers... father rapers!"

Arlo Guthrie - 'Alice's Restaurant'

"Group W is where they put ya if you may not be moral enough to join the army after committin' your special crime. There was all kinds of mean, nasty ugly-lookin' people on the bench there. There was mother rapers... father stabbers... father rapers... Father rapers! Sittin' right there on the bench next to me!"

You can get everything you want at Alice's restaurant - excepting Alice.

Well done that man! I actually thought that might be pretty obscure - note to self, must try harder :) just one more question Barry - have you rehabilitated yourself? :D

I don’t understand - I’m sorry
Looked this up - written by Randy Newman - first released by Jerry Butler 1964 - or am I getting confused with something else

It's the intro for "Penguin in Bondage", from the album "Roxy and Elsewhere" by Zappa/Mothers. In the frostbite nite, with the flaps gone white, shrieking as she spots the hoop across the room. Every time she sees the hoop. Hope that clears things up :)
