Exposure 2010

I have an Exposure 2010 integrated that is taking up valuable space in my rack and would therefore like to pass it on.

For some unknown reason, it doesnt have a power supply, the transformer and resevoir caps are missing. In fact, close inspection shows absolutely no sign of them ever being fitted. There are no marks around the hole where the transformer bolts to, or solder residue where the caps go.

As to why this is, I have absolutely no idea. It is in otherwise pristine condition internally. Outside, there is a very feint scratch neat the volume control and a few case screws are missing.

Exposure have said a new transformer will cost £45. If anyone is handy with the iron and has a spare hour or so, they could have a bit of a bargain here.

I am open to offers for this (although offers around £125 would be most welcome :)), as any funds received will go towards getting my Teac working again.

Can you tell us a bit more about it.

It would seem that this has not been used as it has no power supply?
If that is the case, is there anyway of telling that it will work.

It seems to have a motorised pot. is the hardware inside to make it RC?

Regarding the motorized pot, there is obviously the motor on the pot itself as well as the sensor which is fitted to the PCB. I "assume" all other required electronics are part of the main PCB itself. It does not have a remote control though.

Regarding the possibility of it not working, I am prepared to post it on "approval" for the cost of posting say £10. That way if it doesnt work, the buyer isnt vastly out of pocket and has a few usefull components for his tenner. If it does work, then I would expect the buyer to pay the balance when he is satidfied with it.

I believe this to be a fair proposal.

Regarding the transformer. It would appear to be 200VA. I have seen voltage references between 28-0-28 and 35-0-35. I would think that using 30-0-30 would be fine. Upping the transformer to 250VA and using larger resevoir caps could probably improve things a little.

Does the unit have a serial number, and where is it located?
