Hi there,

Currently I have Tannoy Edinburgh driven for a Leben cs300xs and I guess is a bit weak for them and guess I could get more from them. I don't have a lot of experience with tubes and "serious" set up's.

So I'm think about upgrade my amp and am looking for a good option. Music: Pop (indie), Soul, Jazz, ... My room is 25m2 but in next future will be bigger because of a change of home.

I have on my mind three options::scratch:

1-Mastersound Compact 845 ex-demo with some upgrading on transformers, chassis, ... new is 8.700€ but ex-demo is around 5.200 €

2-Mastersound 300b PSE second hand with upgrading like the other 845. New is like 11.000€ but second hand is 5.000€

3-Ars Sonum Gran Filarmonia esconde hand for 3.800€ (new is 7100€)

Probably my preference would be Mastersound 300b.

Someone has experience with those amps? I need some help.

Many thanks

Not a valve amp but I went Leben to Luxman a class.... Only losing out in acoustic female atmosphere but better everywhere else...

Thanks for your reply.

I tried my Edinburgh ASR Emitter and Leben and guess sounds better with tubes. I'm not closed to SS but I'd prefer tubes. In SS field I'm tempting to try Pass or maybe Mcintosh but as I said before my priority are valves.

Someone in the room with Tannoy Edinburgh or similar Tannoy Prestige Series??
