I needed to be creative today so toddled of down the garage intending on making something

Found a 9" wide by 3" deep spalted beech bowl blank

Set it up on a face plate enabling me to turn the chucking point , turn the underneath profile ,

I chose a wide ish foot with some elevation , Long way from compleating the underneath as I now need to sand threw the grits 120 / 180 /240 / 320 / 400 ,

Completed the under side , That's it for today , will turn it around tomorrow and start on the inside of the bowl

No more work on this due to long hours at work ( Key worker ) and today it was raining very heavy , dull and miserable :(

Today I have completed the bowl

This image is the underside sanded through 400 grit from 120 , Then treated with a 50 / 50 mix of sanding sealer and thinners , you achieve better penetration doing this or the sealer stays on the surface , a quick de nib to remove any raised fibres , Then treated with Briwax clear
