Looking for a power amp to go with a passive pre. I need lots of power to drive my speakers around £800.
Valve, D class and SS all considered.

I’d suggest a Quad 606 if you are using a passive. They are better amps than many realise, they work well with passives and their build is great.

How about a pair of Musical Fidelity P150's that can be run as monoblocks. Rack type facia, not sloping type with ribbed top. Really well within your budget.
