I am listening to Yellow Magic Orchestra's first Japanese album on 180g vinyl. I must say that the sound is as good as I could ever dream of through my "new" Denon 103D mounted on a sturdy Stogi 9" arm on my SME 10 turntable. Until I get my Paradise phono stage build, I am using an Ortofon T20 transformer into my DIY DCB1 with its onboard Rod Eliott mm stage.

To mount the Stogi on my SME 10 turntable I had to use a part of an SME to Ortofon adapter as a clamp below the armbase. In the photo you can see the black metal clamp onto which the tonearm is fastened rather crudely with two stacked aluminium bars and one overlong screw. I will make a proper black plate sooner or later. For now it works and sounds really well and I do not miss the SME V tonearm in the least.

I used the base of this SME to Ortofon adapter as a clamp:

Looks a nice combination Peter and glad its sounding good to your ears.
I have a Denon DL103M and I find that the amount of detail it produces is really good (this is on my Lenco TT with Linn Basic Plus arm) so I am sure the 103D will work well with your combo:)

I think it was a wise move changing to the Stogi. Looks well on the SME 10 which is a bonus.

Stogi alway did make good tonearms. With SME's avaricious increase in the cost and denial of supply of their arms, it's good to know there are other more than acceptable alternatives out there.
